Rescue 800 responded to Down Home Ln in Hempfield Twp., as the RIT for a house fire assisting Station 104. Rescue 58 assisted Rescue 800 on scene.

Team 800 responded to Irwin to assist Station 57 with a diesel fuel spill. Diesel fuel entered the storm drains and nearby creek. Team 800 contained the spill in the creek with an underflow dam. The team operated on scene for nearly 3 hours.

Team 800 assisted Murrysville Fire Department with a Gasoline release from a pipeline off of Rt 22. The 8" line released product sending gasoline into the air approximately 40' when a company Representative was performing maintenance on the line.

Team 800 was dispatch to South Main and Huff Ave. for a RV accident, with a fuel spill. The RV was heading into the BP parking lot and hit the tank into the curb causing the fuel spill. Team 800 assisted Station 32 (South Greensburg) in the clean up.

Team 800 responded to assist Delmont (Station 30) with a natural gas leak. Construction crews hit an unmarked gas line with a trench digger. Team assisted the local fire companies with air monitoring in the area of the leak and in near by houses.

Rescue 800 responded as the R.I.T. to the Mountain View Inn for a working fire caused by a lightning strike to the tower area. This is the same area in the inn that had a small fire earlier this year. Team 800 assisted Marguerite (Station 33) on scene with 16 members for nearly 2 hours.

Team 800 responded to its third train derailment of this year today in the town of Reduction, South Huntingdon Twp. Team 800 was requested by Chief 107 for a tank car that was leaking a material. The tanker was not placarded and was listed as a non hazardous material on the trains consist.

A fire broke out on a rear porch of a double wide trailer in Salem Twp., between Crabtree and New Alexanderia. The fire extended into a peaked roof, that was added on to the original trailer, hampering the extinguishing effort.

Rescue 800 responded as the R.I.T. to Lloyd Ave in Latrobe. Crews had to bail out of the second division after a flash over occurred. No injuries occurred. Team 800 was on scene with 25 members for 2 1/2 hours.

Team 800 was dispatched as the RIT for a multi-alarm fire at a historic county bar/restaurant. Most of the counties eastern fire companies battled the large amount of fire, and bitter cold temperatures, through the night, and into the daylight hours.

Rescue 800 was dispatched as the Rapid Intervention Team to Weaver Mill Rd in Ligonier Twp., assisting Waterford. First arriving units found a single story, single family residence well involved. After a brief offensive attack, units switched to a defensive operation.

The team was called to assist Lloydsville with a home heating oil fuel spill. Fuel was found in a small stream that runs to Twin Lakes. A search of the stream found oil down to the lower lake at Twin Lakes.
