A Hempfield Township incident on Business Route 66 prompted fire response to activate the HAZMAT team to assist in a possible 150 gallon fuel spill from a tractor trailer haling sand in a hopper type trailer.

Team 800 responded to State Route 22 and State Park Road in Derry Township to assist in mitigating a fuel spill from a tractor trailer that had been involved with a passenger vehicle and subsequently ruptured the saddle tank.

0646 hours a placarded double T/T transporting a Class 3 Flammable Liquid flipped the rear trailer on it's side on the West bound entrance ramp to Interstate 70. Stations 25 & 26 responded to control the scene and provide fire suppression and traffic control.

HMRT 800 responded to Supervalu on Paintersville Road in Hempfield Township. A leak from an electric solenoid valve on the roof dripping at a rate of about 2 drips per minute sounded an alarm and prompted a manual alarm for evacuation of the facility for about 3 hours.

HAZMAT personnel were on scene for 2 hours to assist in mitigating an oil spill in Loyalhanna Township on Tunnelton Road. An oil filled tote was punctured inside a non-placarded box trailer causing it to distrbute a swath of oil completely covering the highway and bridge over the Conemaugh River.

A vehicle accident involving a coal truck and minivan provided many tasks for several departments responding friday morning. The flipped coal truck poured it's load over 3 lanes of traffic in East and West bound directions.
Team 800 called to assist in mitigating fuel oil that may be running into Sewickley Creek. Engine Captain 26 requested Team 800 to the scene and DEP was requested by Director 50.

Tractor trailer accident involving 2 tractor trailers was reported. Police reported alot of fluids on the highway and that a fuel truck was involved. The fluids were from the saddle tank and mitigated by first arriving fire response.

Minor vehicle accident at the entrance to Eastgate Plaza involving a vehicle that ruptured the side of a Tractor Trailer saddle tank. Team 800 pumped stopped the leak and pumped off the saddle tank into recovery drums.

Team 800 was requested to assist Circleville (Station 8) with a gasoline spill on Billot Ave in North Huntingdon Twp. A van had spilled its gasoline tank onto the roadway. Station 8 personnel contained the product, and Team 800 assisted with mitigating the hazard.
