Team 800 was requested to assist Circleville (Station 8) with a gasoline spill on Billot Ave in North Huntingdon Twp. A van had spilled its gasoline tank onto the roadway. Station 8 personnel contained the product, and Team 800 assisted with mitigating the hazard.

Rescue 800 responded as the RIT to the New Stanton Auto Repair on South Center Ave for a commercial structure fire on Christmas Eve. Many members from all responding departments left their families to respond.

Team 800 responded to the County Maintenance building this morning for a Hydrochloric Acid leak. A 55 gallon drum was leaking acid onto the floor of the garage. Entry team members from the Team contained the spill, over packed the leaking drum, and neutralized the spilled product.

Team 800 was requested to assist Grapeville (Station 21) at the Giant Eagle in Hempfield Square with an unknown odor in the building. 800 crews used most of its available air monitoring equipment and was unable to detect any hazardous materials inside the structure.

Rescue 800 was activated as the RIT for a car fire endangering the Sheetz on William Penn Highway in Murrysville (Station 20's district). Upon arrival of the rescue, the original fire was out with no extension, and rescue 800 was assigned runoff control.

Team 800 was activated on the first alarm for an "Alert 2' at the Arnold Palmer Regional Airport for a twin engine plane with an engine out. While units were responding, the plane switched its destination to another airport, and all units were canceled.
Several Eastern Westmoreland County fire departments including Somerset and Fayette County companies were activated, including 2 RIT Teams; Team 800 and Somerset County 135, for a reported barn fire endangering a structure.
