Team 800 was activated to assist Vandergrift for a train derailment involving crude oil and butane cars adjacent to MSI Corporation. The train had derailed on a curve next to the building with one car entering the building and one rupturing causing crude oil to spill next to the facility. HAZMAT crews had mitigated 2 railcars with pads and booms and conducted air monitoring at the site. Additional technicians surveyed the overturned cars and checked for additional spills along the derailment area. Railroad officails and specialized railroad recovery team was called to upright the cars and recover the spilled product. 14 members of the team responded with the Rescue and Squad with the Utility terrain vehicle.
